As every mother knows, having those quick chats with your kids can be incredibly enlightening, heartwarming, and hilarious. Driving around in our family minivan provides an incredible opportunity to get some quality heart-to-hearts with my boys. I figured it might be entertaining for my readers to enjoy some of the crazy things that come up during these little interactions between mother and sons. For those that don't know, Emmett is my oldest at 6, Levi is the middle at 4, and Miles is the baby at 1.
This chat happened earlier today while I was driving with all three of my boys in the car. Here's the tea!
Mommy: So Em, did you decide what you wanted to be when you grow up?
Emmett: I'm going to be a ninja, a writer, a builder, and an adventurer.
Levi: I'm gonna be a volcano!
The funny thing is that Levi is absolutely a volcano! He's a stoic little boy but when he feels strongly about something, he will explode. I am easily frustrated by his stubborn and strong opinions and yet I am also incredibly proud of his strength. I worry over him because he is so quiet until he isn't and then it seems to come out of nowhere. In reality, it must have been simmering inside of his little body for a while. It's something we struggle with and will continue to work on with him. In the meantime, I might need a plug for that volcano ;-).
